We understand that the beginning of the journey can feel overwhelming. New terms, new practices, unfamiliar routines, and sometimes fear of hard judgment or simply of making mistakes. Our mission is simple: to make learning Islam approachable, practical, and free of judgment.

We focus on practical guidance rooted in authentic Islamic teachings, presented in a calm and supportive way. Our resources are designed to help you build confidence step by step, starting with the foundations of belief and worship.

About the Founder

As-salamu alaykum. My name is Yusuf Abdullah, and I am from Morocco.

For over 25 years, I have been involved in Islamic educational and community work through a civil association focused on teaching and strengthening correct Sunni belief and practice in a balanced and moderate way. Over the years, I participated in educational, teaching, and training activities for people of different ages and backgrounds, and I benefited from many structured programs and lessons prepared by scholars, professors, and people of knowledge.

What led me to create Converts Harbor was seeing the increasing number of people embracing Islam in recent years and noticing the challenges many new Muslims face at the beginning of their journey — especially when trying to learn and practice on their own. I felt a personal responsibility to contribute in a small way by creating simple, clear, and trustworthy resources that help new Muslims and beginners take their first steps with confidence and peace of mind by learning the essentials of Islam step by step.

I am not presenting myself as a scholar, but as someone who has spent many years learning and working in Islamic education. The goal of this project is to make the first steps in Islam easier for those starting their journey.

I ask Allah to make this work sincere and beneficial.

Our Commitment

Converts Harbor was built with a simple intention: to serve new Muslims with clarity and compassion.

As long as this project continues, 33% of its net profits will be dedicated to charitable causes, including supporting new Muslim communities and initiatives that help them learn, practice, and grow in Islam.
